AKAI DM-13 Chop
Start by clipping the cord.
Then unscrew the bottom trim ring. Unscrew the head and remove the element. Don't set the element face down; store it in the head to protect the plastic diaphragm.
Cut the ground tab down to 1/4" on the end of the 151 jack, and solder 6" wires to jack.
Insert the jack, slide the nut over the wires and down onto the jack. The mic is diecast and has a flat side that will hold the nut while the jack is being threaded on.
Locate the hole for the pot, opposite the flat side, then solder 3 whip leads to the pot.(Getting the pot into the mounting hole is like a ship in a bottle)
Once the pot is mounted all final connections are made from the head end - It's easy.
